Dad's Concert

Getting dressed for Dad's concert
Getting thrown out of the theater for making excited noises during the slow movement in Dvorak's Cello Concerto
Passing time in the lobby... waiting for intermission

Sneaking back in the theater to say hi to Dad

It's So Hard

Isaac seemed a little glum on Sunday morning.  Perhaps it was the gray weather?  Sunday blues? Existential crisis?  Isaac was having trouble communicating his woes... until Dad played some music composed by Uncle Jeff and Isaac was like, "Yes.  Nailed it.  This artist really gets me".

Social Butterfly Weekend

On Friday, Isaac traveled to Vienna (VA not Austria) to meet Harry, the son of Mom's dear friend from junior high/high school (Jess).  Big thanks to Harry and Jess for showing Isaac such a great time!

Later that afternoon, Isaac met up with neighbors in Dupont Circle.

The next day Isaac was over in Capitol Hill hanging out with some PACE buddies.
The babies were practicing their latest trick (holding themselves up on furniture).
Isaac and Cameron shared an intimate moment.
Isaac met a dog for the first time!  (this pic was taken immediately after the dog gave Isaac a big, wet kiss - a picture-perfect moment not captured on camera because Mom couldn't get her act together in time)
Later that night, Isaac traveled over to Zach's house where he met a cat for the first time (Zach and cat not pictured).  Zach graciously shared his toys with Isaac and Magdalena.
Isaac and Magdalena go way back... all the way to prenatal yoga!
On Sunday, Isaac hosted Mother's Day brunch.  He wisely assigned the foodstuff preparation to Dad and invited his cousins Shaan and Sam along with Uncle Dave and Michael to make the event extra festive.
Time for a photo shoot with Shaan!

Visit from Aunt Christine and Tom

Aunt Christine and Tom traveled cross-country to join Isaac's first swim class (thank you, Tom, for being the photographer/videographer!). The Meginness sisters were a wee bit more enthusiastic about the experience than Isaac.
Isaac made the same apprehensive look the entire class (while clinging tightly to Mom).
Aunt Christine enlisted a rubber ducky to help comfort Isaac.
Note Isaac was making the same look even outside the water... we think he was fine with the water and a little taken aback by the loud, echoing noise.
After an exciting swim class, it was time for Isaac to take his guests around the world on an embassy tour.  Pictured here in Cote d'Ivoire with Dad.  Also visited: Indonesia, Japan, and Haiti.

Traveling around the world can be a little tiring, so we all took a break in Sheridan Circle.

Time for a floppy hat photo shoot!

Blowing raspberries

Later that day, we took a trip to the playground.
A bedtime story to end the action-packed day.  Mom and Dad have been reading this book to him for months; Isaac pulled the flaps down for the first time with Aunt Christine!

Up and at 'em the next day - trying out a new restaurant, Le Diplomate, for brunch.
Waiting for some BBQ dinner.
